Celebrunner: Sazzy Falak and Nazril Idrus @ Rexona Move Launch

Calling all runners! Do not waste your sweat and the distance you log on. You can start turning your physical activities or movements into kilometers to help the underprivileged children by downloading the Rexona Move mobile application from Android’s Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

The celebrity couple, Sazzy and Nazril are on board too. They are glad to be a part of Rexona Move, a very meaningful campaign to drive Malaysians to take actions to help our kids!

Despite our country’s remarkable growth, UNICEF Malaysia reports that some 600,000 children under 15 years still have insufficient access to basic necessities such as quality education, good healthcare, and a safe environment. In view of that, Rexona, the world’s leading deodorant brand, is enforcing its commitment to empowerment by lending a helping hand to the less fortunate children of the country.

Today, Rexona launched its first-ever proprietary mobile application, Rexona Move, which was conceptualised to inspire men and women to play their part to improve the lives of the underprivileged children.

This innovative yet meaningful mobile application serves to transform one’s simple movements such as walking, cycling, dancing and even shopping into meaningful deeds for the children.

The inception of Rexona Move is also aimed at uniting Malaysians to create one concerted move to complete 10,695km, the total length connecting the 13 states in Malaysia. For each state covered, Rexona will activate its aid to underprivileged children.

“Rexona is all about empowering our consumers to embrace life with confidence. It is our mission to allow our consumers to lead an active and vibrant lifestyle, enabling them to do more and achieve a sense of self-accomplishment. Understanding that consumers today are looking for brands to do more than just providing quality products, Rexona is taking the lead to embark on a journey to address societal issues together with our consumers and communities. Rexona Move is a platform created for our consumers to extend their personal gain to achieve a greater good,” said Ashlee Ng, Brand Building Director, Unilever (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, at the launch at Berjaya Times Square.

“We want to inspire our consumers to not only do more, but also do good and make every sweat count for the less fortunate children in our country through an easy platform, Rexona Move. With this socially-driven mobile application, we also aim at mobilising Malaysians to create one collaborative effort to change lives. Hence, on behalf of Rexona, I would like call upon every Malaysians to take actions and play their parts to help the underprivileged children. You, your friends and families – everyone has the power to make a difference because every step one takes, we are one step closer to improve a child’s life,” added Ng.

Gracing the launch were advocates of Rexona Move, Sazzy Falak and Nazril Idrus who pledged to go the distance to help the under privilege children of Malaysia.

With one affirmative voice, they expressed, “It is rather upsetting to see that the number of children not receiving sufficient basic necessities and education is still high considering the fast-development we experience in the country. We are really glad to be a part of Rexona Move, a very meaningful campaign to drive Malaysians to take actions to help our kids.”

We think it is a very good idea! Make every sweat count!
