What is Iz running away from? Must be the cigarette smoke! LOL!
We caught up with IZ Sulaini, a talented singer of the reality show OIAM2 fame at the recent launch of CINTA AKHIR.
CINTA AKHIR is a short movie starring IZ, Liyana Jasmay & Pierre Andre launched in conjunction with World No Tobacco Day on May 31st.
Health Ministry Disease Control Division director Chong Chee Kheong read the speech by Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, who said that smoking was a big issue that affected non-smokers as well.
“If only the smoker is affected, he or she can say that it is a personal choice. But second-hand smoke is a problem that also affects those closest to smokers,” he said.
“The health of our citizens is our wealth. Imagine the amount of money we can save if fewer people needed medical attention as a result of not smoking.”
The project is the brainchild of director Aron Koh and funded by the 1Malaysia Dana Belia (1MDB) grant foundation.
1MDB had approved RM130,000 for his production costs and he produced the film in two months.
Pierre Andre who plays the lead was not present. He was for shooting we were told.
In case you are wondering Liyana Jasmay is not a smoker. She didn't inhale the smoke like a smoker does. All the director and lead actors in the movies lead a smoke free lifestyle.
