Be A Plastic Bag Free Runner!

I had volunteered at a race kit collection for a race recently. I noticed that 7 out 10 race kit collector asked for plastic bag to put their stuff in. The organiser did provide big plastic bag for bulk collection (10 and above) and they were not enough to go around if everyone was asking for plastic bags. Some dared to ask for plastic bag even when he/ she had just collected TWO teeshirts!

I think I would make some money by selling a piece of bag for 20sen like they do in shopping malls! . But that is not the point.

The point is: some turtles in the Straits of Malacca are choking to death on plastic bags that you have thrown thinking the bags are jelly fish. The point is: flash flood in our cities happens whenever it rains because the drains are clogged with plastic bags and other non degradable rubbish.

It’s not difficult, guys. Just bring your own reusable bags when you come for race kit collection.

Be a runner who cares.

A GREENER world starts with you.
