Menara Taming Sari Melaka

From a height of 80m, the ride offer visitors a spectacular view of Historical Melaka - St. Paul Hill, Flor de la Mar ship, Melaka River, Dataran Pahlawan, Eye On Malaysia, Pulau Besar & Straits of Melaka.

It is the first revolving "Gyro Tower" in Malaysia as endorsed by the Malaysia Book of Records.

Trivia: The original site for Menara Taming Sari is at the Melaka River Banks but due the recovery of the ancient artifact, the site was moved to Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah tennis court.

More trivia: Taming Sari is the name of a very famous kris in Malay culture. It is the Malay equivalent of King Arthur's "Excalibur" and was supposedly owned by the legendary Malay warrior Hang Tuah.

Since there is a promotion going on - 50% discount for MyKad holder (RM10 per ride after discount), I decided to sacrifice the cup of Starbuck coffee and go for the ride! Heheh!

Check out the video.

Note: I have to speed up the video when the tower was rotating at the top. Otherwise, you will fall asleep watching it. The rotation of the tower is very slow...so that you can take your time to enjoy the breath-taking view on top.

It is not the thrill ride like the Space Shot in Genting Highland! :)
